I ventured out of my comfort zone today and explored a bit. I ended up at the Black Hills Weed Shop. I called in the morning and received such good vibes just from a few moments of speaking to James. His vibe was so warm and welcoming. Such a straight up individual. I decided i better see what was up..Best move I've made in quite some time. I made it in before close and sure enough James was hard at work. After some excellent deals, the solid information he provided me, the excellent strains I was able to acquire with his patient and professional manner and ....did I mention excellent prices, i have found a place that I am so excited to return to. Looking forward to meeting the rest of the staff and enjoying the sales and wonderful product.

I'm picky when it comes to cannabis (personally i prefer organic living soil which is impossible to find in a state like sd. The weed shop has a fair selection of cannabis for a decent price. Unfortunately for SD you need a med card, but once SD goes rec legal- give these guys a shot, they are friendly, knowledgeable (within reason due to terpene testing in SD being an afterthought whereas rec legal states vastly test for other biochemicals rather than just focusing on thc (weed shop can help you line out on medicinal benefits of cannabis). One day I hope the state opens up and out of staters can stop here for their ganja needs. (They carry Willie's Reserve which is decent enough)

I was only In once and that was 2 weeks after they opened. I was remembered and that is the kind of customer service you look for! Edit: still an amazing place! 2nd edit over a year later: amazing as everrrrrrrr edit 3: over 2 years later still the best

Consistently short. Weed is wet. Owner is rude and an over talker. Not solution oriented. Poor business practices. On par for somebody new in the business and maybe even just new to doing business. Not recommend, plenty of other better dispensaries in town who treat their customers nice even when an issue arises. Also, like with the other complaints he used the whole “our scales are calibrated” excuse. interrupted me consistently and accused me of just wanting free weed. We don’t have the same problems with having short eights from any other dispensary. Lol cool guy. Lost more than a customer because no one I know will be going back there ever again. It’s so awesome to short your customers who have medical needs and are elderly. I’ve witnessed this happen to my relatives over and over. Stay tuned for a very mansplanation response from owner.
