The Apothecarium Dispensary SoMa

Update: After posting an honest review, the SoMa manager, Yasmere, called my personal phone in a hostile tone and told me I was “suspended from the business,” explicitly referencing the review. I had no intention of returning, but being contacted this way after leaving feedback felt retaliatory and deeply concerning. I reached out to corporate twice to address this and never received a response. ⸻ Not going back to this place again! I’ve been a loyal client for about four years, but my experience today with Yasmere, the store manager, was truly disappointing. I called to ask about a promotion I’d received by email and to confirm whether the store was offering the same deal as online. The first salesperson was polite and honest, explaining that she was new and might not be aware of all the promotions yet. Because of that, I asked to be transferred to someone else so I could make sure I received accurate information. I was then connected with Yasmere, who identified herself as the manager. As soon as I began explaining the situation, she became defensive and spoke in a very abrupt, dismissive tone. Instead of clarifying the confusion, it felt like she wanted to argue. No matter how much I tried to explain why I was calling, she remained defensive and seemed more focused on escalating the situation than resolving it. She even accused me of being “hostile,” simply because I was trying to understand a promotion the new salesperson wasn’t aware of. I honestly don’t know what prompted her reaction—maybe she was having a bad day—but her hostility was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. When I said that this experience made me reconsider returning to the store, she replied, “You can do whatever you want, it’s your decision,” which made it clear she didn’t care. Eventually, I had to end the call because I couldn’t deal with the hostility anymore. For her to call me hostile while I was just trying to clarify a promotion is absolutely unacceptable. After this interaction, I’ve decided I will not be returning.

Salem was very professional. Clean store great prices. Cannabis appears to be fresh as well.

Dre is amazing. Took care of me giving me what I needed at the price I wanted. No finessing, no squeezing, no misleading. So rare at these types of dispos. Helped me out with some recommendations for the area and spotted me a grinder too. Will definitely be back, because of him. This is after an awful visit at another Apothecarium. Dre is the man for sure.

Honestly been going to this dispensary for a long time. The staff is always really friendly and super helpful and super knowledgeable, but this particular visit was very informative to me. Big thanks and shout out to Josh. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone in the financial or Soma district area.
